A fascinating exhibition of artworks that demonstrate and represent some of the interesting and innovative ways in which the laser cutter is being utilised by artists and designers working with paper today. Around 50 artists have created a special art-piece for the anniversary of gallery Wies Willemsen. The topic of the art-pieces is 'binding' relating to the work 'Lustrum'. Wies Willemsen started her gallery five years ago. These art-pieces will be shown at the gallery during the winter exhibition.

With works by a number of artists affiliated with her gallery, Wies Willemsen will be at the historical monument the Sjoel during the open monument days 2010. The Sjoel is located in the old town of Brielle. Work of Ingrid Siliakus will be show as well.
The finalists and winners of the Dutch Design Awards 2009 will be on show in the Red Dot Museum in Essen. From April 8 through to May 2 this venue will host the ‘best of the best' of Dutch Design, as part of an international tour of the exhibit.

For this exhibition Ingrid made a paper-architecture model of the Morspoort, the Hartebrugkerk and the Koornbrug - all located in Leiden. These models will be shown at this exhibition for the first time.
Cut and Fold demonstrates some of the processes and skills involved in making art from paper. Large and small, from giant paper installations to tiny paper corsages. The collection of work by contemporary paper artists includes folded paper, paper cuts, collage, papier mache, origami, paper sculpture and even wallpaper.
